Holistic Moms Network Now In Montgomery County

Apr 30, 2016 10:23PM
The Holistic Moms Network has recently launched a new chapter in Montgomery County, meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood. At each meeting they offer conversation and speakers on a variety of holistic lifestyle topics.

The network is part of a rapidly growing national nonprofit organization, dedicated to connecting moms who are passionate about holistic health and green living. “Through monthly meetings, our local chapters bring parents together in a nonjudgmental environment that honors their lifestyle and parenting choices,” says the group’s executive director Dr. Nancy Peplinsky. “For new parents who choose to raise their children holistically, having the support of like-minded parents is critical,” she says. Through a dynamic online discussion group, members of the group share life-changing information and advice on a variety of topics including pregnancy, breast-feeding, natural childbirth, positive discipline, alternative medicine and all aspects of green living.

The organization, which was founded in New Jersey in 2003, currently has about 100 chapters across the United States. Moms, dads, grandparents, partners and other caregivers are all welcome to join.

Location: 18400 Muncaster Rd., Derwood. For more information, contact chapter leaders Ashley Tuck and Nicole Goldsby [email protected] For general information, call 877-HOL-MOMS or visit the HolisticMoms.org.
