There is new, advanced thinking on the possibility of enjoying instant pain relief without the use of drugs, potions and lotions if the pain is related to muscles, joints and nerves, developed by Dr. Craig Sanford of NOVA Center for Alternative Medicine, in McLean. The technique, called Rapid Relief Pain Therapy, can be achieved using the body's own nervous system by performing a deep tendon reflex or DTR.

A DTR is the same as when a doctor strikes a patient’s knee with a reflex hammer causing the leg to spring upward. This seemingly simple test not only examines the speed of a person's neurological reflex, but it can also be used to stimulate the nervous system, allowing muscles and joints to rebalance, therefore relieving pain.

The wonderful thing about using DTR's to access the nervous system is that it allows for immediate and long-lasting results. Working with the nervous system directly to reduce muscle spasms, balance muscles and pain has shown to be incredible, if not miraculous, according to Sanford. Patients note that it is perhaps one of the greatest therapeutic methods to provide fast pain relief, quickly resolving problems such as pain in the neck, back, sciatica, hip, knee or shoulder pain, in a fraction of the time of other therapies.

“I really get a kick when I see the look of amazement on a person’s face during and after the application of this truly unique technique,” notes Sanford.

Dr. Sanford will be presenting a free, live webinar on Rapid Relief Pain Therapy on Wednesday, May 25 from 6:45 to 7:30 pm. To register, visit RRPT.Eventbrite.com.
