Natural Awakenings Washington DC Metro

Life-Changing Journey to Peru

Jun 29, 2016 11:02PM
Bringing together ancient traditions of healing and spiritual practice from around the world, Heart of the Mother Retreats provide the opportunity for seekers to enter into deep communion with the ancient plant sacrament, Ayahuasca, while being fully supported by experienced facilitators. Held in a safe and loving space, Ayahuasca ceremonies bring profound healing and understanding through a process of surrender and transformation. The next Heart of the Mother Retreat will lead participants on a transformational journey in the high Andes of Peru, beginning in Cusco, through the Sacred Valley, and onward to Machu Picchu, from October 7 to 17.

Leaving behind the comforts of home, culture, and the distractions and habits of daily life, Heart of the Mother Retreats offer the chance to step into a different world, complete with the splendor of the natural world and connecting with ancient sacred places and traditions. On this journey, participants will bring balance and peace to body, mind and spirit through meditation, yoga, contemplation, music and sound healing, as well as visits to ancient sacred temples.

Angela Blueskies and Helene Garrovillo, guides and facilitators, have designed the retreat to offer personalized care, beautiful accommodations and delicious and nourishing food. The retreat is supported by world-class healers in massage therapy, acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine and energy healing, as well as local Andean Wise-Ones, and every participant will receive two healing sessions of their choice during the retreat, included with registration. Every detail of the experience is designed to bring comfort, enjoyment, exploration, rejuvenation, and a sense of community to support this transformational experience.
