Fitness on OUR Block? Crossfit, Bike, Yoga!

Jul 30, 2017 08:44PM
Where else in the District can you find such complementary work outs than in the newly developed Ivy City? This fall, Bicycle Space, Crossfit Hierarchy and Bikram Yoga Ivy City will host its first triathlon that will welcome people in the DMV interested in getting fit for a cause. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on September 23, everyone is invited to participate in a one-hour Crossfit workout, bike ride and 90-minute Bikram Yoga session.

In 2015, Okie Street developed in the Hecht Warehouse District (Ivy City) became the number one hot spot for fitness in Washington, D.C. Anchored by Planet Fitness, Okie Street is also home to other fitness modalities that will fit any of your desires.

Want to get lean, long muscles? Visit Bikram Hot Yoga Ivy City. Want to get strong? Visit Crossfit Hierarchy. Want to see the city by bicycle and help reduce our global footprint? Visit Bicycle Space. All three businesses will be collaborating on this innovative new venture to get you fit and stay fit throughout the Fall and into the colder months.

After the event, participants will meet at the Ivy City Smokehouse for some refreshments. The event will be complete with raffles and amazing prizes, including memberships, SWAG and other great giveaways. They look forward to seeing you on the block!

Cost: $65. Location: To register for this event, visit and check out their events page. Proceeds from this event will go toward programs for underserved D.C. residents.
